the hotel is in a great part o f the city. The staff were very nice.It just has no identity and i felt that we paid more than it was worth. The pool is tiny and the sauna door didnt close and had no light so we didnt linger! sorry seems a bit negative. The room was a nice size and comfortable. But we had no breakfast included in the price and so just felt that we could have beeen anywhere as the decor is very modern and bland.
Top Tip
Coffee at the Dome - just to see inside.Tea at the Balmoral.Shopping best in George st.Holyrood house is interesting. Lunch at The Whitchery! The Hub is nice for evening meals - an old church.
Grassmarket shops are individual - lovely cheese shop!

Most places of interest are within walking distance so itaws lovely to park the car and forget about it until it was time to leave. Parking via the hotel is very reasonable

Edinburgh Castle is a great attraction. The open tour buses were also good.

Great Position for the Edinburgh tatoo. One of the few hotels with car parking space.
eggs benedict for breakfast should be avoided.

Went to Malaysia Delight, a very small cafe style restaurant on Clerk Street, using the food and drink guide in the room. Excellent food at a cheap price, considering it's in the city centre
