Offering an unbeatable blend of cosiness and modernity – as well as a great location – the Royal British Hotel is an Edinburgh institution. Though it isn't that big a property, the guestrooms' high ceilings lend them a great feeling of light and space. And there’s no better way to start a day in Edinburgh than with the wonderful views from the breakfast room.

Triples can be either a double & single bed, or 3 separate beds. 8 smoking rooms are available on a request basis only. Please note lifts are from reception to bedrooms, there is a flight of stairs from street level to reception.

     Looks very tired, needs redecorating, curtains frayed at edges in dining room...             hotel clean....             only one complaint,,,,bed was too small and uncomfortable, it did for a night....             clean...             you can't regulate the temperature in your room...             bathroom had not been cleaned properly...             Very noisy room- overlooking side road- ...             Clean...             Downside tired bathroom and very hot....             Could benefit from some refurbishment ...             Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you are a light sleeper....             bathroom sink leaked ...              toilet did not flush properly...             Bathroom was not as clean as I would expect ...             Comfortable...             noise level coming from outside was unacceptable...
